5 (a) A 2.4 hrs load duration curve on a small power plant is a straight line between 6 MW 10 and 2 MW respectively. The plant capacity is 7 MW. Find the plant load factor and plant capacity factor. If the power charges are Fis. 2.5 per kWh, find the charge to be paid per day.

7 (b) A residential consumer has the following connected load : Four tube lights of 40W each. Three Fans of 60 W each, Two night lamps of 15 W each and television of 100 W. Use of electricity during a day is as follows
12 midnight to 6 am. :2 Fans + 2 Night lamps
6 am. to 9 am. : 1 Fan + 1 Tube light
9 am. to 3 p. m. : Nil
3 pm. to 6 pm. : 3 Fans 7: Television
6 pin. to 9 pm. : 2 Fans + 4 Tube lights
9 pm. to 12 midnight 3 Fans + 2 Tube lights + Television.
