A single jet pelton turbine is required to generate 2000KW. The total head from the reservoir to the entry of nozzle is 250m. The blade angle at outlet is 15°, and the reduction in the relative velocity while passing over the blade is 5%. The coefficient of velocity is 0.98, speed ratio 0.46 and mechanical efficiency 95%. The head loss in the penstock is 10m.
