Power Electronics in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Semester 4 (Visveswaraya Technological University)

This is an introductory text book on power electronics for second-year undergraduate students of electrical sciences. Typically, the first course on power electronics is preceded by a course on network theory and signals and systems, and the student is expected to apply the principles they have learnt in these two fundamental subjects. This book has been written to assist the student in doing this. The subject is explained in an easy-to-understand language without allowing the rigor to be diluted-thus ensuring that students gain a firm grounding in the fundamentals-and prepares them for more advanced courses in power electronics.
