Location:
Located far away from the highway in an extremely remote area of Narhe, Sinhgad Institute of Management is one of the good MBA colleges in the city of Pune. Most of the students commute by bikes and the college buses as PMT bus service is pretty bad and drops you only on the highway.
Infrastructure:
The college has an above average infrastructure with classrooms well equipped with projectors. The wifi enabled campus has good recreational facilities and a well maintained library which has books of all the MBA courses offered and more interesting reading material too is at hand always. There is a separate boys and girls hostel facility where the rental charge is around Rs.50,000 per year. The hostels are excellently maintained and the association rarely gets an complain about the same. The food served in the hostel is decent and easily edible.
Fees & Placements:
Rs. 1,53,000/- per year
Companies like ICICI, HDFC Bank, CapGemini, Crisil, TATA Motors are one of the standard recruiters at Sinhgad Institute of Management College. Around 70%-80% of the students get placed with an average salary of Rs. 3.5 lakhs. The winter and summer placements, called as internships, are quite satisfactory. Almost al of them get a job with a roughly salary of around 7,000/- per month. Students are extremely satisfied with the placement scenario though some demand more pay and good international companies. Overall, the placements at Sinhgad are quite brilliant compared to the other colleges in the city.
Faculty:
The teaching staff at Sinhgad Institute of Management is excellent. Students have never complained about any visiting faculty to replace their respective college teachers. English communication is up to the mark while they’ve a pretty qualified degree as well. The visiting faculty at the college are thorough professionals and are immensely knowledgeable.
Seminars and Industry Interaction:
There are guests lectures conducted almost on every weekend. Industrial Visits are conducted on a regular basis to good companies where students get ultimate knowledge about corporate life. Some IV’s are business activities while some for research purposes.
Crowd & Campus Life:
Sinhgad Institute of Management has students from different backgrounds, most of them definitely engineers. Roughly, there are 60% localities while the remaining from other parts of Maharashtra. Only a handful of students are from other cities of India. The campus is pretty far from the main road and hence students linger around in the campus. There is an auditorium hall, football ground, and volleyball ground within the campus. Some even spend time in the canteen where the food is just about tolerable.
Festivals:
There is a festival held in the month of September under the name 'Brilliant Brigade'.
