Preparation

I took the exam in March. I studied for exactly 2 months and did really good. I dont think more than 2 months are required.

I didn't join any counsellor, I wrote the SOP on my own. Took some advice from seniors, but content was my own. My major is game development so I basically stressed on how it is a passion, and backed it up with how what I've studied helps me.

Selection of University: I wanted USC but then I didnt get it so I settled with Utah. Also the reason for me choose Utah was because I was interested in game development and Utah would be good for that.

Advice to Juniors

I would also suggest people to take the GRE in the month of March, it is an ideal time in my opinion. SOPs and LORs are critical. No matter how much you pay a counselor, they can never truly write a good one for you.
