Preparation:

I took the GRE in August (7th semester). My friends who took the GRE in March helped me a lot and guided me well to get a good score. I did my words thoroughly. I focussed on the basics of math as well. I availed the service of a counsellor but I thought they were rubbish. The list they prepared for me was pretty out of the box and had no good universities. Seniors and peers help is the best counselling. Having said that, the counsellors helped me quite well for the visa interview as I was rejected earlier.

Experience at the current University:

I chose University of Michigan, Ann Arbor because it’s a high ranking university in the States and is really excellent for my program. The campus is good, the city is nice and students study a lot.

Advice to the Juniors:

Research well. Don’t rely on the counsellors. They are not the best mentors. Seniors help and your own homework will get you a good university. Keep your aggregate as high possible as it’s the prime factor to get an admit from a good college. Get some relevant internship to make your profile class apart. All the best! See you in Ann Arbor!
