BD Chaurasia(Gener al Anatomy as well as Systemic) is bible for Anatomy for First MBBS. Every medical student has it. All facts are included.

Guyton is a big book for Physiology. If you can finish it during the first year, it's very good for grasping the concepts. A.K. Jain is also big- divided into 2 volumes. All the facts required can be found, but you still need a lot of patience to read from this book.

Sembulingam and VD Joshi are the best for exam preparation. Sembulingam is highly recommended over A.K. Jain because all the things are precisely given and can be easily finished during a year.

Satyanarayan and Vasudevan are equally good. Satyanarayan is systematic.
