Guru Nanak Khalsa College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Matunga

Located in central Mumbai, Khalsa College is very well connected to all the possible modes of transportation. It is easily accessible from King's Circle, Wadala (Harbour railway) and Matunga (W. rail & C. rail). Some students prefer trains, while most of them come by BEST buses.

Khalsa college has a huge campus, comprising of two buildings, a main building and an extension for PG courses. All the labs are very well equipped. Many classrooms are air-conditioned. College has very good facilities for sports, which includes separate playgrounds for all sports, a gymkhana, and a small garden. For all those who are scared of exams and results, there is also a Gurudwara on the campus.

Courses offered:

  • Junior College of Arts, Science and Commerce
  • Bachelor of Commerce (B.COM)
  • Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)

For PG courses very few are in-house, most of the faculties are visiting from the industry. All of them are PhD. For the Junior and Degree College, the staffs are quite experienced and have complete details about the subject.

Campus is huge. Crowd is decent. It is dominated by Sikhs, as there is a minority quota for them. Security is very strict and they don’t let you roam around in the campus freely, because of some mishaps that have happened in the past.

Canteen is spacious and a good variety of food is available which is easily affordable.

'Nazarana' is the annual intra-college festival. During the festival too much of problems are created by the minority crowd.

Good academics but no Campus Life. This college is good if you keep ‘do your work and go home’ attitude. Having said that, the college is quite renowned and is a good bet for an above average scorer.
