Nirmal Mahavidyalaya College of Commerce and Science, Kandivali

Location:

Situated in Kandivali West, Nirmal Mahavidyalaya College is 10 minutes away from Kandivali Railway station. Some students prefer rickshaws to the college while a major chunk travels by the BEST buses because of its excellent frequency.

Infrastructure:

The college building looks like a wedding hall or probably a small 'wadi' without the campus. The classrooms are quiet dirty, definitely without an air-conditioner. There is no internet in the college campus and the library is just about okay with books sometimes or most of the times not available. Science students cannot perform their practical sessions as there are no laboratories. Horror!

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc)

Faculty:

Since, the college is quite new, the teaching staff is not up to the mark. Even though the teachers have a qualified degree, they don’t have enough experience in teaching and lack sufficient knowledge about their subject. Most of the times, the lecturers communicate in English and Hindi.

Attendance:

Nirmal College is pretty strict when it comes to attendance. Students are made to attend 75% and if somebody falls below this mark, their exam hall ticket is withheld.

Crowd:

Most of the students in this college are from the nearby suburbs of Borivali, Kandivali and Malad. The crowd is quite below average in looks, style and communication. Since, there is a college festival, some students do participate in that. The crowd isn’t that studious and you keep wondering what they actually do.

Hangouts:

Nirmal students are usually seen in ‘Raghuleela Mall’ in Poisar. It’s a hot favourite hangout for students of this college. Students prefer to go for movies in Grovels (Kandivali East) and Cinemax outside Kandivali station. The college location lacks hangouts near-by.

Canteen:

Sorry, there is NO canteen in Nirmal Mahavidyalaya.

Festivals:

'Milap', the annual festival of Nirmal College is held in August.
