Preparation
I took the GRE in Mid-August 2010. I think that was the ideal time for me because I could optimally use the holidays for preparing unlike in May when I would also have to study for my engineering semester exams (although it can be managed ;))
I had joined classes for GRE with one of the popular professors in Mumbai so a few tricks to learn words by-heart were known, but the trick to learning all the words to perfection is something that you need to figure yourself. I used the also the Big Book, Barrons, Princeton, Kaplan and PowerPrep somewhere around the end of my preparation.
I took counseling during my applications from Foreign Academy of Consultancy & Training (FACT). I would say “Counsellors are good as a supplementary help but they should not be the primary ones. The primary one should be you.”
