Location & Infra:
Located in Ghaziabad (which fortunately is a part of the National Capital Region (NCR)), Institute of Management Technology (IMT) has a pretty good infrastructure to complement its clean and green campus. The lecture halls and library are air-conditioned and spacious. There are facilities for recreation as well.
Hostels for both men and women are well maintained and pretty clean.
The 14.7 acre campus also houses a football field, floodlit basketball and tennis courts, and a well-equipped gymnasium.
Fees & Placements:
The fees at IMT Ghaziabad are approximately Rs. 9 Lakhs
The placements of IMT Ghaziabad are quite impressive. A number of the world’s leading companies visit the campus for their placement process.
In 2011, almost 300 students were successfully placed in excellent companies, with really good profiles in finance, marketing, consulting, etc. Some of the major companies to offer jobs were Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Deloitte, P&G, Wipro, Infosys, Deutsche Bank, Yes Bank, TCS, Bacardi, Cognizant, etc.
The highest International CTC offered was been Rs. 26 lakh per annum.
The highest Domestic CTC offered was Rs. 15 lakh per annum.
The average CTC for the FT Batch was Rs. 8.63 lakh per annum.

IMT accepts CAT scores for its admission process.

Faculty & Pedagogy:
One stand-out feature of IMT Ghaziabad is that students play a major role in selecting the faculty. Professors are asked to leave if the feedback received about them is poor. Though that is very rarely the case, as students are quite pleased with the faculty here.
Crowd & Campus Life:
At IMT, you’ll find a mixed crowd, in all ways. Students are friendly, approachable and fun-loving. That in no way means that they aren’t academically oriented, of course. But life at IMT isn’t as hectic as it is at many of the top B-schools of the country. It is rather more relaxed, people get time to enjoy the normal ‘hostel life’ that one would expect.
Corporate Connections and International Affiliations:
IMT has ties with about 70 institutes for exchange programmes.
Summer Placements:
IMT usually has good summer placements. World class companies offer students internships in various sectors, and profiles ranging from finance to marketing to consultancy. In 2011, the average stipend was about Rs.90,000.
Major recruiters were Standard Chartered, Yes Bank, LinkedIn, Reebok, Kimberly-Clark and many more.
Special Attributes:
Although it may not be ‘special’, students aiming for IMT Ghaziabad should know that the slightly ‘lesser’ students of IMT Nagpur will also get placed along with them, in a combined placement procedure.

Verdict:
A good, upcoming B-school, but nowhere near the IIMs or the likes of FMS and IIFT. It has pretty good placements and a good campus life, so you should be willing to settle for it if you’re sure you can’t do better than 97%ile in the CAT.
