Location:

Indira College of Pharmacy is located right by the new Mumbai-Pune Highway in a remote place called Tathawade. It is extremely inaccessible, being 25 km from the main city and no PMT buses plying here. You can either travel by ST buses or by your own vehicles, which is the general trend amongst students. College charges you Rs. 10 for parking. They are also very concerned about your safety, and thus charge you additional Rs. 30 if you don’t put on helmets.

Infrastructure:

Indira college has 3 campuses next to each other. The one housing the pharmacy building is the main campus and a large one. There are other colleges for management, commerce & science also on the same campus. Pharmacy college has all the basic amenities like classrooms, library, well-equipped labs. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, so you can use the internet whenever you like. Hostels are available for both boys and girls. Boys’ hostel is across the highway, while girls’ hostel is in the campus. Overall students are pretty much satisfied with the infra at hand.

Fees:

Rs.70,000 per year.

Faculty:

Faculty are one of the best in city. All the professors; senior and junior, are highly qualified and experienced. Most of them also teach the Post grad students in the same college. 'Experienced' to say in a word.

Attendance:

It’s not that strict for the first two years. Seniors have to compulsorily attend, but they are only happy to oblige.

Crowd:

About 70% of the crowd are localites. Rest are mostly from Mumbai. Overall the crowd is pretty chilled out and enthusiastic. Seniors are friendly & co-operative.

Canteen:

Canteen is big enough to seat all the students during lunch. Food is tasty and affordable.

Hangouts:

If you have read the location you must have understood that there are no nearby hangouts in the 15 km radius. However there are some Dhabas and hotels on the highway which you can try out at your own risk.

Festivals:

'Spectrum' is the annual cultural festival. Apart from this, various days are celebrated. Also, Ganesh festival is celebrated with utmost vivacity and devotion.

Placements:

Good placements in the top pharma companies like Lupin, Novartis etc. It is expected to improve further as the college becomes older & renowned.

Verdict:

The college is good in all aspects. The only drawback is its location. Those who are ready to travel or stay in the hostel should not think twice before joining.
