Location:
Very few colleges in Mumbai can beat the location of Rizvi Institute of Management Studies & Research. It’s off the plush Carter road promenade and behind Pali Hill, home of many celebrities. One might often bump up with a celebrity or someone popular. It’s a little far from the railway stations though. It’s closer from Khar though it can be accessed from Bandra as well (both the stations lie on W. Rly and Harbour Rly). You can reach college in an auto for somewhere around 20 bucks or take bus no. 220 from Khar or Bandra stations. 51 & 56 are other buses from Dadar and Santacruz.
Infrastructure:
It is in the same campus as the engineering, architecture, hotel management, law colleges and school. There is a 7 storeyed building of which 3 floors are dedicated to management department. The interiors are well furnished with air-conditioned classrooms, projectors and seminars halls. There’s no wi-fi but internet can be accessed from labs and there’s no restriction on usage of internet. One thing lacking which is lacking here is recreational facility. The hostels are provided by the college in Mahim for boys and in Vile Parle for girls. Charges for which are Rs 3000 a month not including food of course.
Fees and Placements:
Fees are Rs 1.5 lakh per year for MMS and slightly higher about 1.7 lakh for PG course.
Placements are good. Companies like Crizal and Nomura visit campus for recruitment. Majority of the students manages to get a job. And the average salary offered is 4 to 5 lakh.
Faculty:
Faculty are just about average.
Seminars & Industry Interaction:
Seminars are regularly conducted by principal and members of management. However not many people from actual industry give seminars.
Crowd & Campus life:
Crowd is predominantly Muslim due to 50% reservation. Many events and festivals like 'Saksham' and 'Impression' are held round the year, which help tackle ‘gruelling life of MBA’ and relieve some stress. Well on a serious note life is not that tough here but you have to keep up with schedules for assignments.

Verdict:
Rizvi Institute of Management & Research is an average college for perusing management and is not as good as the architecture college under the same aegis.
