Location:
Lokmanya Tilak Institute of Architecture and Design Studies is located at a cool 5 minutes walk from the brilliantly named Koparkhairne Railway station on the trans-harbour route. It shares its campus with the Engineering college.
Infrastructure:
Lokmanya Tilak Institute of Architecture and Design Studies is currently just a one floored college borrowed from its Engineering counterpart and its own building is still under construction; not that the building which hosts the architecture college at present is complete - elevators don't function and students have to carry all their assignments and projects right up to the 5th floor. Sometimes even the fans give up and show the white flag. However, students don't seem to mind much of this because once they up and working, classrooms, studio rooms and equipments are just fine.
Fees:
Rs. 85,000/- per year
Faculty:
The college is said to have a horrible faculty, perhaps since these are the initial years of the college. Leaving apart two teachers all others have loads of attitude, think too highly of themselves and consider students as incompetent and worthless. One or two professors allegedly even bring in personal grudges at the time of examinations.
Attendance:
Lokmanya Tilak Institute of Architecture and Design Studies hasn't really laid down strict rules for attendance. However, the students come to college regularly perhaps because they enjoy their course and are not interested in bunking too many lectures.
Crowd:
Since the college is in its initial years, majority of those who opt for it would be the low-scorers and those who couldn't get through anywhere else. But nonetheless it's a pretty amazing crowd full of enthusiasm if not passion. May you come from whichever part of the city, you are bound to get company.
Canteen:
The architecture department doesn't have a canteen to itself and shares it with the engineering one. The food is not bad. Its sufficiently hot and most things are edible. Hygiene isn’t great, and that really isn’t much of a concern for engineering students. And since the canteen is mainly for the engineering college, there's no food at the canteen if the engineering guys have a holiday.

In a word, none.

The first batch is yet to participate and nothing can be commented till then.

Verdict:
Barring the faculty, students seem to be quite happy with the college, and if conditions improve Lokmanya Tilak Institute of Architecture and Design Studies has the potential to be one of the top choices amongst architecture colleges in Navi Mumbai.
