Location:
Oriental College of Pharmacy (OCP) is a mere 5 minute walk from Sanpada Railway station (harbour line) in Navi Mumbai. As rightly mentioned in its official address it actually lies "behind" Sanpada Rly station.
Infrastructure:
The seven storey structure has its 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors alotted to the pharmacy department with the remaning parts being used by the college of commerce & technology and the college of education. The building is modern with up to date labs and neat classrooms. The library looks a little funny from outside since it's divided into small cubicles decorated with a combination of white and superman-blue paint. There's no Wi-Fi connectivity but the students don't seem to be troubled by that as they are allowed to use the net in the computer lab.
Fees:
Rs. 85,000/- per year
Faculty:
The professors aren't out-of-the-box fantastic but they aren't intolerable either. Mediocre faculty, one can say, which the students can't really complain about.
Attendance:
Oriental College of Pharmacy is particular about attendance but not strict. The university norm of 75% is recommended by the college but a small 5% relaxation is allowed before parents are summoned. However, no harsh actions are said to be taken, probably because most of the students compensate for short of attendance soon.
Crowd:
Don't run into misbelief by judging the crowd you see loitering around the college gate! That isn't pharmacy community, they are a much decent lot. The students here tend to be a little towards the studious side as is the case with most other pharmacy colleges - the difference being that this college is FILLED with Navi Mumbaikars. "Don't expect a very happening crowd, and you won't be disappointed" quotes a student.
Canteen:
It's almost as if it's absent - a small shed somewhere around the backyard of the college. Food is not preferred by the students here, neither is its ambience. It's best to avoid it.
Hangouts:
Nothing really close to the college which suffices the necessities of a cool hangout. Malls at Vashi and the adjoining food and snack joints are the most popular destinations where the students end up spending their free time.
Festivals:
A festival called Gravity is celebrated at Oriental College of Pharmacy (OCP) in the month of January and goes on for one full week. Besides that, intra college seminars are frequent during the entire year.
Placements:
At Oriental College of Pharmacy (OCP) you can expect to get placed if you are amongst the toppers, not otherwise. The college puts in a good deal of efforts to get companies and the situation is relatively better than few of the worst pharmacy colleges around.

Verdict:
Considerate and knowledgeable faculty - a BIG reason to join this college. But it's still in its development stages requiring improvement on one factor or the other, yet to create a renowned status and a good reputation.
