Final Year Project:
- Degree Final Yr Project- Witricity- Wireless Electricity or Witricity is a system consisting of a witricity transmitter and receiver. The receiver works on the same principle as radio receivers, where the device has to be in the range of the transmitter. It is with the help of resonant magnetic fields that witricity produces electricity, while reducing the wastage of power.
- Diploma Final yr Project- Automatic Toll Collection- It was basically a microcontroller based system which took care of toll collection. It had a transmitter and a receiver, which was either pre-paid or postpaid. So, there would be no need of waiting at toll stations for hours in line.

Preparation:
I prepared for GRE for 3 months. I didn't join any classes. I studied flash cards and solved GRE barrons book. I gave practice tests online.
I gave my GRE on 13th July 2010. Since I was in Autonomous College, I had time to prepare and give GRE in July but Ideal time for Mumbai University people is around August end.
SOP Advice: I wrote my SOP with some guidelines from counselor. You basically need to stress on your professional skills and interest in particular field. Highlight any point that reflects your capability and intelligence.
Counselling View: Counselors are required only for your documentation part. They help you prepare all documents properly and all packets that are required to be sent to university. Selection of University should be done by you. Don't rely on Counselor.
Reasons to choose Current University:
Syracuse University is quite renowned for its research work in field of Electrical Engg. Out of all admits I got, this was the better choice. So, I opted for this university.
Advice to Juniors:
Just work hard for your GRE although GRE alone doesn't matter. Its your overall profile that helps you get into good university. GRE is just a pre-requisite.
