Location & Infra:
It is located within the Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan’s campus in a suburb of Mumbai. The institute itself is a rather small building but the campus on a whole is massive as it houses various other colleges and schools. The SPJIMR has good air-conditioned classrooms and a really good library. Although the campus has a good sports infra but then management students are not allowed to use them, but anyway to make you feel good, there isn’t enough time for you to use them either. The hostels are said to be good.

Entrance Exams and Courses Offered:
SP Jain accepts CAT scores as well as GMAT scores, but major emphasis is laid on the academic performance of candidates in their respective graduation programmes. Don’t even think about it unless you have been a novel student throughout your life.
Faculty & Pedagogy:
Faculty here is one of the best in country. SPJIMR focuses on learning by experience and learning by experimentation. Here you are encouraged to do things differently, at the same time you are expected to be a good team member and lot of emphasis is laid on it. There is also a ‘Geeta shibir’ , where lecture on Geeta are delivered. This shows that they are also giving importance to spiritualism.
Crowd & Campus Life:
There are many clubs on the campus. The crowd is an eclectic mixture of students from various fields and not just flooded with engineers. Most of the students are from north Indian states. Although there isn’t enough time to pursue ones extra-curricular or sport interests, they find time to socialize and build a good network. A good network is what you can be sure of getting at SPJIMR.
Summer Placements:
**Autumn placements. Here in SPJIMR they have Autumn internship rather than summer internship. In summer they are supposed to work at some NGO. The autumn internship is in the 2nd year after 1 trimester of the specialization subject. The companies are also more interested in offering internship to these students. SPJIMR has had an amazing autumn internship record.
The institute attracted over 40 premier companies across the Financial Services, IT, Investment Banking, FMCG, Private Equity, Manufacturing, Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals and Media sectors. These include TAS, Ernst & Young, KPMG, Miebach Consulting, Microsoft, GSK, JP Morgan, Reckitt Benckiser, P&G, HUL, Marico, Nestle, Intel, J&J Consumer, Wipro, General Electric, Edelweiss, Axis Bank, HT Media, Dabur, Mahindra & Mahindra, Citibank, Accenture, Development Bank of Singapore, Schlumberger and Capgemini among others.
Special Attributes:
SPJIMR is very much different from the other B-Schools in the country, their pedagogy , their admission structure is very different from other schools. Also being in Mumbai it is a great place to do your MBA from.
Verdict:
One of the best private B-schools. If you are looking out for some different type of course and an all round development (which includes yoga), you should probably zero down on this.
