Navneet, there's no need to repeat the GRE. According to the old pattern, it should be close to 1280 or 1300 which is pretty decent. It's an expensive exam. Moreover, GRE isn't given a lot of weight age. So why waste your hard earned money unless you manage to get something around 330 or more?
Your acads are decent and above average for a Mumbai University (assuming you're from the same) level. Certification course, community service and a half year of work ex should bolster your decent aggregate.
Since, you wish to apply for MIS and/or CS, I would recommend you to try this tool, Grad School Finder: www.stupidsid.com/gradschoolfinder. Rate yourself wisely. You'll get a good list of ambitious, moderate and safe schools.
Come up with a list and then we can decide which are the best for you.

Navneet, the list looks pretty fine but I guess a couple of ambitious and safes should be included.
-SUNY Brook moderate but I feel the chances are good..
-NYU very erratic decisions. So can't say much but should be equally moderate.
-UFL safe
-NCSU ambitious
-USC lower moderate cum safe
-ASU moderate
You can certainly target GaTech and CMU. Both will fall in the ambitious category. SUNY Buffalo and NEU in the safes.
Now the gap shouldn't be a problem if you explain it well in your SOP why did you take a break. Also you've work ex. which can cover up for it.
As an advice, don't keep yourself free. Get an internship in any company related to your course. Some social service/community service. These things are seen at the time of evaluation.
Gap needs to be explained during the VISA (if lucky, they won't ask).
