All the departments have blended senior professors and middle level faculties with almost two decades of academic experience. Few have a decade experience. The faculty is competent to touch the pulse of the students and reach them accordingly.
Every month each department invites guest faculty to facilitate the students to interact and expand their knowledge. All the guest lecturers come from prestigious organizations, universities and industries.
Special focus is laid on core subjects to enhance the students to meet the real challenges in the competitive world. Often industrial visits are arranged to all the engineering students to give industrial exposure.
As a part of social responsibility students are given a chance to visit old age homes, blood donation camps to impart human values through NSS.
The college have various clubs for which each student has a representative heading and organize activities with the guidance of Faculty.
Personality development classes are regular feature of the college.

The college have a vast campus with two blocks. First block is constructed with full sophisticated infrastructure. The second block is equipped with three floor Libray,labs, classes & conference hall etc… . The campus is full of greenery. The new block infrastructure is equipped with modern architecture. The campus is enabled with Wi-Fi. They have excellent computer lab as well as engineering lab facilities to all the streams. Most of them are Air Conditioner.
The college have an excellent centralized AC library with two floors in the new block. Students have book bank facility along with Digital Library facility with 60 systems. College has two seperate physical fitness centre for girls and boys. Medical aid is provided and a regular health checks up are taken up in the college often. Fulltime Naturopathy doctor is available from 9 am to 5pm. College is in the process of providing hostel facility for girl students shortly.
here are two seminar halls and one auditorium in the premises equipped with projectors, AC and audio & video facilities. Most of the class rooms are designed as e-class rooms( projectors facility).

The Placement Cell provides training to the students in aptitude, soft skills, G.D’s, JAM Sessions and H.R. Rounds. There are two specialized soft skill trainers who not only monitor the performance of the students but also train and guide with special emphasis to the telugu medium students and get them ready for the interviews by imparting confidence level.
This college has excellent placement record. Students having above 60% academics are almost placed in most of the Companies. The top MNC’s visited are Accenture, IBM, Dell Wipro,HCL, Mahendra Satyam etc., This is precisely the reason most of the students choose to join this college. Vanasthalipuram and LB Nagar fulfill all the movie, food and coffee cravings. Just that it's difficult to get to these areas because students cannot leave the campus before 4…..so nothing like hangout during the college timings. Every enjoyment is after 4.00 P.M and on all Saturday’s in college campus.

Most of the students are from city only. Even some students come from nearest villages. People even come from District areas. In this college 60% crowd will be girls and remaining 40% will be the boys. In Sphoorthy girls ratio is very high for a moment it looks like a women’s college.

Sphoorthy Engineering College is strict about attendance and discipline but also considerate when students have genuine reasons. Daily attendance records are sent to parents via SMS. A closed gate system prohibits late comers from entering the campus and the mischief mongers from bunking lectures and leaving it. Between 75-65% of attendance students have to posses the Medical certificates as per the rules. In Attendance aspect student has to be careful otherwise there is even chance of getting detained.
