The faculty at Bangalore College of Engineering & Technology (BCET) is average. Most of the teachers are fresher & inexperienced. However the main problem students face is that the teachers are weak in English communication.

There’s only one building for all the branches and semesters, which to students looks more like a school building rather than an engineering college. Basic facilities like classrooms, labs & library are proper. However there’s no auditorium or a seminar hall.

When asked about placements, students came up with a unique expression of mockery combined with misery – “LOL :D”. And then they emphasised that not even a single student has been placed from current batch till now & that there is no proper placement cell.
Going by statistics mentioned on college website too, placements can be said to be below average at best. Maximum students that get placed are rarely above 20%. Even though the college was established in 2001, the placements still haven’t improved.

Bangalore College of Engineering & Technology is near Heelalige Railway Station, 1 km from Chandapura village. 25 km away from centre of city, it’s probably one of the least accessible colleges of Bangalore. Your options to commute are very limited. There’s only one BMTC bus route (Anekal to Majestic) & just two college buses. You can’t afford to miss the college bus as both these buses ply on different routes. Students are usually stuffed into it.

Students feel that theirs is one of the worst canteens any college can have. Neither the food nor the infrastructure can be called good. It looks like a road side Dhaba and the plates and seats are usually dirty.

None but a village and a railway platform.

Well there are fewer students as many of the seats are usually left vacant; and most of them don’t come to college on a regular basis. You get to see real crowd only during exams.

It’s pretty lenient about attendance in BCET. Students with as low as 30% attendance are also allowed to write exam after paying a fine of Rs 500. Due to this tolerance in attendance many students prefer coming to college only once in a while.

Bangalore College of Engineering & Technology (BCET) is among the lower rung engineering colleges in Bangalore. Keep it among your last few options.

I WOULD SUGGEST YOU NOT TO JOIN BCET.. all the above is true. There is no placement.. the website of BCET gives fake info of everything... even schools are better then this college.. you will regret.. Here no lecturers supports or give encouragement to do something innovative... so don't join..
