Mechanical and Computer departments have good experienced professors while Civil stream sucks. There is a mix of fresher and experienced teachers at Islamiah Institute of Technology. Thankfully, lecturers are not nagging and irritating and are pretty friendly with their students. Lectures are conducted in English.

Don't spoil your life by joining this college.
I don't know why this college is still running..
There are no proper teachers... and teachers' knowledge is very bad. They don't know anything, they just come and read text...
Labs are bakwas. There are no components to do experiments only...

Govt should ban this college to save students life

IIT, that’s how the management promotes this college, has a terrible infrastructure. The 2 storey cream coloured college building has around 20 non air conditioned classrooms which are pretty small. Folding benches allow four students to sit, washrooms are cleaned once in a while, library has latest edition books but there’s always a scarcity to find your copy. Lab sessions are conducted in another building in the campus which is around 500meters walking from the lecture hall. Instruments are very old and some are not operable. Students feel the instruments haven’t been replaced since almost 20 years or so. Despite having such a huge campus, there is no greenery around and students find this extremely disappointing.

There's lack of faculty, irregular labs, insufficient books in the library and bad classrooms. Lots of snakes on campus make it a scary place. Management and administration demand money for every single service, including signatures on routine documents. please study here at your own risk!

None! As the college has shut down twice in the last 2 decades followed by the constant rifts between the management and trustees, the reputation of the college has come down drastically. Siemens is seen in the campus during the placement months but hardly recruits anyone. Most are aware of the bad placement scenario and hence prefer to try by themselves.

Islamiah Institute of Technology is situated bang opposite the famous Meenakshi Temple on the National Park Road. This South Bangalore college is easily accessible by BMTC buses 365 and 366. Both run with a good frequency and drop you right next to Meenakshi Temple. Most prefer to come by bus while a few choose to commute by their own vehicles. Connectivity to the college is superb and Meenakshi Temple is the best landmark for this college.

Hostel facilities are equally pathetic. Three students have to share a small room thus making it extremely suffocating. Washrooms are disgusting, mess food lacks variety and taste, non veg is cooked once in a month. Water problems are regular complains at the Islamiah hostel. Moreover, the rent charges are around 30,000 per annum. Hostelites advice the juniors to stay off campus in a PG.

It’s the same as mess food. There is no separate canteen for the students. Lack in variety and taste is a big turn off for students. It’s better to eat outside the college.

Meenakshi Mall, Gopalan Mall, National Park, JP Nagar and Jaya Nagar are the best possible hangouts next to the college. Students also go for various outings outside Bangalore, the famous out of the lot are Make Dathu waterfall and Kanakpura (where the movie Ra.One was shot).

Islamiah Institute of Technology has truckload of students coming from the Muslim minority background. Even though there are no reservations, Islamic background families prefer to send their kids to this college. Majority of the students come from other parts of Karnataka. A few come from the main city of Bangalore. Outside Karnataka students are a rare. Boys outnumber the girls, as usual. Overall the crowd is not very happening and friendly.

Despite the strict 85% norm imposed by the VTU, Islamiah has a pretty chilled out attendance pattern. Students are said to maintain 75% but anything around 50% is tolerated. A student is neither detained nor his/her internal marks are reduced. A student is detained in extremely worst cases. Well, this is the only best part of this 25 year old college.

Islamiah Institute of Technology is certainly not a very good engineering college in Bangalore. There are ample colleges in the city for any average scorer in the KCET.

There are better colleges in Bangalore than this one. The college building looks like a high school building it doesnt feel like an engineering college .here the chemistry lab is a half a KM away. If you join you will suffer a lot. You feel like not studying engineering. There are no students at all. Seniors come to college in bikes and just show off in front of junior girls. Really if you join you will suffer a lot for four years. Better JOIN SOMEOTHER college. THE ABOVE IS MY EXPERIENCE AND I have CHANGED MY college. Your college life will be ruined if you join this college.
