Global Academy of Technology (GAT), Rajarajeshwari Nagar
Global Academy of Technology (GAT) is located in an absolutely remote area atop some random hill in Rajarajeshwari Nagar area of South Western Bangalore. It's very far and greatly inaccessible. The only practical options to reach the college are by college bus (which will cost you about Rs. 11,000/- per year) or by your own vehicle. Only two BMTC buses, namely 225G & 225P, drop you near the college but the frequency is horrible (35-40 mins)
The grand entrance to the college welcomes you to one of the finest adorned colleges in terms of infrastructure. It looks like a princely palace with a broad passageway and open gardens around it. The insides are equally good, all except the library, which needs to have more new edition books according to the students.
The hostel campus is about 1km from the college and is pretty decent.
For Karnataka CET students: Rs. 41,590/-
For UGET (COMEDK) students: Rs. 1.25L per year
Students claim that the Civil department has awful faculty, while Mech, CS, IS and others are relatively better. "No one ever understands 100%" says a disappointed student.
Compared to other engineering colleges in VTU, Global Academy of Technology gives a bit more relaxation. Up to 60% goes unnoticed, but below that fines ranging from Rs. 2000-5000 per subject are levied. So its best to stay 60% upwards.
It's an average college and thus most seats are taken by average rankers from CET & UGET. Although they may be not be great academically, they excel in sports as well as other cultural activities. Students from North-Indian states are said to form atleast 50% of the total crowd.
The canteen has been newly made and looks fantastic. There's enough sitting space and it hardly gets suffocating. But it's best to have packaged drinks and beverages here as the food cooked here tastes really bad.
2-3 tiny villages are to be found in close proximity of Global Academy of Technology. For better places a minimum 30 mins drive is mandatory.
A college fest is organized at Global Academy of Technology (GAT), Bangalore sometime in March. It's termed as an intercollege festival but who's gonna climb up hills to attend an unexceptional college fest?! So it finally turns out to be an intra college one.
Not a single company is said to visit the college campus. Whatever placements happen are only through pool campuses wherein students from Global Academy of Technology (GAT) have to go to some other college where companies are visiting. Ultimately, everything is dependent on the students and the college takes little efforts.

Except for the infrastructure there's nothing great about the college. Students here advise against coming to this college at least until you can make it to the top 25 engineering colleges in Bangalore
