Gitarattan International Business School (GIBS), Madhuban Chowk
Gitarattan International Business School is located in Pitampura area in West Delhi. The nearest metro station is Pitampura on the red line and is hardly 3-5 minutes walking from the college. Pitampura metro station is pretty famous as Madhuban Chowk as there is a four way road just below the metro. The metro feeders or Grahimin seva charges Rs. 5 and drops you to the chowk from Rohini. DTC buses have an excellent frequency. In short, accessibility to the college isn’t a problem and connectivity is superb.
The six storey GIBS building has a small campus with few plants and grass around. The non air conditioned classrooms are well ventilated and have just about average benches. The auditorium is pretty nice and has a good capacity, though seminars are not conducted on a regular basis. The air conditioned library is well equipped with books of same volume available in abundance. The campus is wifi enabled thus helps the management students to do their research work uninterrupted.
There is no hostel facility.
Courses Offered under IP University (GGSIPU):
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Master of Computer Application (MCA)
Fees & Placements:
Rs. 1 lakh per year
Companies like Capital IQ, Indiabulls, Bluestar, Reliance and Techura are the standard recruiters at Gitarattan International Business School. Big names and well known companies are not seen in the GIBS campus during the placement season thus making the placement section a big thing to worry. The average pay package offered is roughly Rs. 3.5 – 4 lakhs per annum which is below average for B-school standards. Definitely, the placements aren’t 100% but in a batch atleast 60%-70% of the students get a job though not satisfying.
Most of the professors are new in the college and thus it lacks experienced faculty. The finance department professors are very good and students are extremely satisfied with the same. There are no visiting faculties from good B-schools which is a drawback. The in house faculty though are thoroughly knowledgeable but lacks sufficient experience. Students demand a change.
Crowd & Campus Life:
Most of the students at GIBS are from Delhi and NCR belt. Boys to girls ratio is pretty decent. The campus life is pretty average as students are loaded with hundreds of assignments and case studies. There are recreational centres within the campus to kill stress. The canteen is pretty boring and has no variety. As the college is located in far West Delhi, there are no special hangouts nearby. Students generally have the roadside food or rush to CP, where the world is there (atleast for Delhi standards).
Seminar & Industrial Visits:
There are workshops and presentations conducted round the year though not within the campus. Students visit local companies and get a hang of their working style and business strategies. On campus seminars are pretty less and are a big drawback in terms of exposure.

At Gitarattan International Business School, one can expect studious and hardworking crowd. Though exposure in terms of overall development is less, placements are just above average which can be a plus point (obviously, only for a few).
