The faculty for the first year of engineering is good and students attend their lectures religiously. Second year onwards, some are way experienced and thoroughly knowledgeable while few of them just have industrial experience. The teaching staff for Data Structure and Warehouse is quite good. Physics professor is also loved by most of the students. The lectures are conducted in English though some prefer Hindi. Student council is not very happy with the staff as they aren’t co-operative during college festivals.

The campus is pretty small and there is nothing much to boast about the greenery unlike other Delhi colleges. The classrooms aren’t air conditioned though they have comfortable unbroken benches. Washrooms are supposedly neat and clean. The air conditioned library is well equipped with books though not always available in abundance. The campus is wifi enabled which is a plus point. Overall the infrastructure is pretty average and needs a bit of improvement.
The college has a facility for a girls hostel which charges roughly Rs. 10,000/- per year. The hostel facilities are average. Sadly, the college doesn’t provide for a boys hostel.

Even though the college is pretty new in the university and has only 2-3 batches passed out, the placement record is pretty impressive. Companies like Accenture, TCS, Birla Software, Oracle, Data64 and many more visit the college campus during the fourth year of engineering. The average pay package offered is around 4 lakhs though the highest has been 8.5 lakhs in the year 2011. Computers and IT students get almost 100% placements while the core stream students get roughly around 50%-70%.

Located roughly around 1.5 kilometres from Rithala metro station, Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology has one of the best locations for any college in the Rohini and Rithala sector. The college is easily accessible by autos and Grahamin seva which charge your Rs. 10 and Rs. 5 from Rithala respectively. Eventhough the college is located on the main road, the DTC bus frequency is pretty average.

The BPIT canteen is pretty okay. There are a few plastic chairs but it’s not spacious at all. Moreover, the canteen doesn’t serve any special delicacies and falls short of variety.

The college is located right opposite the most famous and hyped mall in the Rithala region, G3S multiplex. Movie and food lovers find this multiplex an ultimate past time. Metrowalk near the station, Amusement Park, is also frequently visited by the BPIT-ites. Other than these few places, the college lacks hangouts.

As the college is affiliated to IPU, most of the crowd is from the main city of Delhi. There are students from other regions like Gurgaon, Noida and Ghaziabad as well. Students from other states and foreign countries are rare. The university topper is from this college since the last few years. In a nutshell, the crowd is quite mixing and celebrate their college festival on a huge scale. Seniors don’t harass their juniors anymore.

'Corona', the annual cultural festival of Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology, is generally held in February last week. The festival is celebrated on a huge scale and there are participants from many other colleges as well. Faridkot, the popular rock band, had a live performance in 2011. The show was a massive hit.

The college is very disciplined and strict in topic related to attendance and lectures. Though 75% is compulsory, an attendance of around 60% is okay and accepted failing which students have to pay a fine of Rs. 2000 to Rs. 5000 depending on the level of attendance. Fortunately, students are left with warnings and there is no detention or year drop. Overall the attendance scenario is pretty average and students don’t find it rigorous.

One of the upcoming engineering colleges in Delhi, Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology has definitely scaled up the good league of engineering colleges in Indraprastha University (IPU) in Delhi. Apart from the infrastructure, the college is definitely a good bet for any average scorer in the entrance exam.
