Majority of the teachers are fresher with whom students aren’t too happy. Luckily core subjects of each branch are taken by senior and experienced faculties. Civil is said to have best faculties followed by Mech and ECE. Overall the faculty can be described as average.

LJ campus is quite big and it houses separate buildings for various courses like engineering, management, pharmacy and commerce. Classes are non-AC but decent. Combined library for degree and diploma engineering has many books arranged nicely. There are great sports facilities for basketball, volleyball and other outdoor sports. There is one limitation in infra though, which is faced on a daily basis by students – lack of sufficient parking space.

LJ Institute of Engineering & Technology is comparatively a new college. First batch did not get very good placements but now the scenario is improving. Companies are showing up for recruitments and about 25% students manage to get placed in local companies.

LJ Campus is located in a far-off place near the Sarkhej end of SG Highway. There are very few AMTS buses plying till here and their frequency is also poor compelling most students to travel by their own vehicles.

There is also a hostel with a limited number of accommodations. Twin sharing rooms are nice and comfortable but the washrooms are common. Also you need to manage your own food as there is no mess in college. Hostel charges are 15,000.

There’s a common canteen for all the courses offered on LJ campus. It is in a basement but there aren’t walls on 2 sides so it’s well ventilated and well-lit too. Although not too big, it is adequately spacious and never packed to the hilt due to different schedules of each department. You get a variety of snacks and limited meals here. Almost everything is tasty, hygienic and affordable. The canteen is always bustling with activity and even if they don’t want to eat students come here to finish their assignments or just to kill time.
Apart from canteen, there’s also a Chinese stall set up in a Rickshaw.

Well there aren’t fun place in the close vicinity of college, so more often than not students are found hanging around in the campus itself. Once in a while students go to ISCON Mall and other places on SG highway. ‘History lovers’ go to ‘Sarkhej Roza’ sometimes.

While you can see some cool & hap crowd in the campus, virtually none of them is from engineering departments. Engineering crowd is very friendly and a high degree of unity can be seen amongst them from the frequency of mass bunks. Average boy-girl ratio is 70-30 with obviously more girls in CS-IT branches and completely ‘bajrangdal’ in civil.

Festivals that are held at LJ are ‘Cult-fest’ and ‘Youth fest’, having cultural and technical (mostly robotics) events. Although these are intercollege festivals, not many students from other colleges come and participate. There is also sports event and participants are given all the needed facilities to prepare and motivation to conquer.

LJ is not that strict when it comes to attendance. You can sail through with 50%-60% below which you stand a chance to fail in internals. College also believes in keep updating parents about your attendance and results regularly by means of sending letters and calling. So that ways you don’t have too much a chance to bunk.

LJ Institute of Engineering & Technology (LJIET) is an upcoming engineering college in Ahmedabad. It’s an ideal college for those who want more of fun and freedom along with the academics and a safe bet for people with average score in their entrance. Faculties and placements are the areas on which college can work.
