Counting apart a few old & experienced professors, the remaining faculty is formed of an army of new lecturers having little teaching experience. “Although they aren’t horrible at teaching, they tend to be a little short tempered and inconsiderate towards ones who fall into their bad books” says a disappointed student.

The entrance to the college feels quite unwelcoming with about three-fourths of the open ground in front of the building being dug up for some new constructions leaving just a narrow pathway to reach the operational building. Students say that unlike many other colleges, KSIT doesn’t really have the well-adorned infrastructure like huge parks or gardens or glass buildings on the outside, but their academic requirements are readily fulfilled.

KS Institute of Technology (KSIT) witnesses a fair amount of placements with about 30% of the total students (almost 70% of those above the eligibility criteria) getting into reputed IT companies. But your wish of getting big fat salaries at KSIT has less chances of being fulfilled.

Situated off Kanakapura Road in Far South Bangalore, KS Institute of Technology (KSIT) enjoys quite an accessible location because of its proximity to the main road. Numerous BMTC buses drop you close to the college from various parts of the city; additionally the college also provides a separate fleet of buses (@Rs. 9,000/year) to ferry students, yet most people who commute everyday to college prefer their own vehicles.

There 3 boys hostels (not on campus, but pretty close) and 2 girls hostels (far enough to necessarily travel by bus), charges for which go up to Rs. 60,000/- a year including mess food (which is tolerable).

The canteen is a comfortable sitting place and serves cheap food (nothing’s price above 25 bucks). However, food varieties need to be more.

People from South Indian states form about three quarters of the class, while the remaining come from North Indian states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh & Jharkhand. The crowd is extremely studious, takes no interest in non-academic activities and continuously makes those not falling under this category feel that their life is ruined! “There are some who feel they’ve committed a big sin even when their attendance is a 98 or 99%” says an irritated student. The telecommunication crowd is an exception and has a pretty colourful crowd.

“Ananya” is the intercollege festival celebrated at KS Institute of Technology (KSIT) sometime in March. It’s quite an enjoyable environment as events ranging from technical, sports & cultural are held.

This is the worst part of the college and adds 10-15 students to the list of frustrated chaps every single day! Right from the first day of college to the final year of engineering, you HAVE to maintain at least over 75% attendance (85% is recommended and fines in the form of book-donation to the library are levied between 75-85% but nothing below 75% is tolerated). Those who’ve dared to cross the line have faced the consequences of getting debarred from exams and lost out on a year or so.
Disciplinary rules are equally strict; there are CCTV cameras installed in every nook and corner of the campus, dress codes need to be followed (no round neck t-shirts, no printed t-shirts, no slippers etc.) and girls and guys are banned from interacting.

First of all it is not college it is more like a school if you are traditional and only concentrate on studies it's good otherwise if you want to enjoy college life in here it is impossible and most of the students are childish character in this college. If you join your four years will be hell
